Regularly featured columnist from January 2000 to present for the bi-monthly Saxophone Journal, published by Dorn Publications, Inc., Medfield, MA.  Articles have covered topics such as repertoire for young saxophone quartets, forming a new chamber music ensemble, concert programming, tuning, rehearsal techniques, building a repertoire, the music business, a study of equipment used by leading saxophone quartets, the history of the saxophone quartet and the use of vibrato in quartet playing.  Many articles have focused on the saxophone quartet music of specific composers including Ben Johnston, David Stock, M. William Karlins, Terry Riley, Alexander Glazunov, Alfred Desenclos, Perry Goldstein, Franco Donatoni, Burton Beerman, David Kechley and Michael Torke.  Recent articles have highlighted the current work of quartets such as the Rascher, New Century, Arte, Brooklyn, Quasar and New Hudson.
