| The classes here are approximately one hour long, very informative and energetic. The classes focus on both internal and external training. The Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced classes start out with a series of stretching and conditioning exercises designed to stretch and strengthen the muscles and joints. After the warm-ups, breathing exercises, basic hand strikes, and kicking drills are executed, they are followed by falling techniques, joint-locking, and forms practice. Other specialized training and/or weapons training would complete a daily session. Classes are usually finished with Ki breathing training. Although many classes are scheduled by skill level, the beginning students train together. Children and adults may train together in some classes, but they are grouped according to skill and age as necessary. Class activities are modified when appropriate such as in the winter when more warm-up is necessary for safety. New students are given individual attention to make sure their training gets off to a positive start. They are also encouraged to inform the instructors of any physical limitations or injuries that may restrict them so the training can be modified to help strengthen any weaker areas. In addition to regular classes and the annual Grandmaster's Seminar, all students may elect to take part in the "Quarterly Workshops" conducted throughout the year. Also members of our Black Belt Club get to take advantage of extra classes, extended training sessions and discounts on the "Workshops".
Each workshop is 4 hours or longer, covering a specific subject, and designed to give the student the knowledge, practice and tools needed to improve their individual skills in given areas. Breaking Kicking Covering
dynamics, physics, targeting and focusing. Techniques Covers history, principles, physics, and application. Weapons Covers history,
development, etiquette, ancient and modern day applications. Additional Workshops such as "Tournament/Demo Prep and Understanding Kuk Sool" are scheduled as requested or as time and student needs arise. See our schedule of upcoming events for times and dates of the next Workshop.
