Hi! My name is Amy Rose Bloomfield, and I am a handweaver and textile designer with over 30 years' experience in both the USA and Europe. I hold arts degrees from Berea College (KY) and the University of Georgia.

In 1987 I formed Design Up, Inc. to create and market my own designs. We are located in Siler City, North Carolina. Complete with handlooms, sewing machines, and other hands-on equipment, Design Up is truly a Carolina Cottage Industry.

Here I am surrounded by my handwovens, holding one of my exceptionally soft Upstarts Fashion Baby Blankets. Design Up is known for wonderful blankets (that are unlike anyone else's blankets!). As their designer, I am proud of my "artistic creations." Folks of all ages find them irresistable...babies, children, adults...all own them, and snuggle up!

Fashion Blankets by Design Up are crafted with pride from start to finish. They are loom-woven for heirloom quality, continuing a long Carolina tradition of handweaving and crafts. And each is handsewn under watchful eyes--our own!
