Paul Proctor
Singer/songwriter Paul Proctor began his musical career in 1973, playing weekends at a Holiday Inn in his hometown of Arlington, Texas, with an old guitar he'd had since his 12th birthday. In 1981 he began to travel, accepting an offer to play keyboards for gospel music recording artist, Cynthia Clawson and then for Melissa Prewitt, of Dave & Sugar fame.
By the mid 80's Paul was performing all across the United States and Canada, with his own country band and four Billboard charted singles to his credit. With bookings a year in advance, Paul decided to retire his band in 1990 and forgo the smokey dance halls to dedicate his time to songwriting and recording.

In 1992, having had two country music videos on rotation at TNN, "She Was Thinking Of Me" and "Timing Is Everything", he released a CD of 21 self-penned songs called, "The Paul Proctor Collection". Under the advise of Arista Record's, Tim Debois and Bobby Kraig, Paul moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to further hone his craft.

Two years later, Paul was invited to play keyboards for Giant Record's recording artist, Clay Walker, who was currently on the Brooks and Dunn tour. He recalls the most memorable performance with Clay as being the night they played for almost  60,000 people at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, for The 1994 George Strait Country Music Festival.

In 1995, Paul joined and produced a new group called: "Trick Rider", who performed at various NASCAR events and made several appearances on TNN's "Prime Time Country".

Demonstrating a long-held love for Texas Swing and all things country, Paul's latest songwriting efforts can be heard on his current CD, simply entitled: "Right". In addition, three songs from his catalog have recently been included in a motion picture called: "Diamondbacks", starring Timothy Bottoms.

Being rather passionate about his traditional values, Paul occasionally writes social commentary in his pastime, for a variety of conservative publications. In the new millennium, "Lord willing and the creek don't rise", you'll probably find him with a guitar, whittling out new songs on the front porch of his log house, somewhere in the lush green hills of Tennessee.
