Weekly Contact Improvisation events in the Twin Cities

TUESDAYS Ric Watson Contact Improvisation Class, 6:15 - 8:15 pm.
Each 6 weeks has different focus & contact skill building activities. Mixed level, beginning - experienced students.
Location: 16 E. 27th St., Minneapolis, MN. Front door - ring bell labeled "studio".
Cost: Continuous 6 week sessions, $80 per session.

FIRST TUESDAY OF
EACH MONTH		 ManDance, 4:15 - 6:15 pm. on the first Tuesday of each month at the above location.
A men's weekly dance collective since 1984. We use skills from contact & other improv movement techniques. Open to all men.
Location: 16 E. 27th St., Minneapolis, MN. Front door - ring bell labeled "studio".
Cost:$5 suggested donation.

WEDNESDAYS Contact Improv Class, 9:30 - 11:30 am.
Classes taught by HIJACK (Arwen Wilder & Kristin Van Loon).
Location: Zenon Dance Company & School Inc., 528 Hennepin Ave. (Hennepin Center for the Arts), Minneapolis, MN.
Cost: $12 per class or $100 for 10-week course.

SATURDAY May 9, May 16, May 23 CI Labs @ Studio 206 10:00 am - 12:00 noon
The purpose of these labs is to collectively research, question, and investigate confusions, skills, and curiousities related to contact improvisation. Think of it as more open than a class and more structured than a jam. Anyone is welcome to attend.
Location: Studio 206 in the Ivy Building, 2647 27th Ave S Minneapolis, MN.
Cost: Participants are asked to make a small donation to help cover the cost of renting the space.

SUNDAYS Sunday Improv Jam Revival, 5:00-7:00pm.
Come fly, ride, trip, laugh, rest, watch, swing, sway, swig water, and sweat. The emphasis is on community and the joyful connections we share through dancing. All ages, abilities, and experiences are welcome to participate.
Location: Sun Room in The Center for Performing Arts, 3754 Pleasant Ave S, Minneapolis, MN (on Pleasant Ave S between 37th and 38th St S)
Cost: $3-5 donation to help cover space rental. Any proceeds will be donated to local organizations.

Can dancing failure, refusal, and non-cooperative play construct invention? A weekend workshop of contact improvisation facilitated by Jane Hawley.

Saturday, 1:00 - 9:00pm: Warm-Up, Workshop, Catered Dinner, Lots of Dancing-Jamming
Sunday, 8:00am - 12noon: Open Space, Workshop, Closing Jam-Circle, Departures
