SECTION 1: UPCOMING GLACIER COMMUNITY CONTACT IMPROVISATION EVENTS
This section lists contact improvisation events within the GLACIER area (Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Ohio, Wisconsin) that are large enough that it would be reasonable to expect people to drive 3 hours or more to get to, such as a 2-day workshop or jam. Events labeled as "proposed" are tentative and may not occur: they are listed so the various producers of GLACIER events can be aware of each other's ideas.

| June 8-18, 2008 | CI36:Contact Improvisation's 36th Birthday Celebration, Juniata College, Huntingdon, Pennsylvania Please join us to honor and celebrate the existence of CI at this international gathering of practitioners, teachers, students, performers, founders, and developers of the dance form. CI36 will make room for the diverse populations that practice and appreciate CI: the grass-roots communities, the performing artists, the academics, the anarchists, those new to the form and the veterans. CI36 will have two main components-a smaller (approx 150) 3-Day Training Intensive followed by a larger (approx 300), 6-Day Celebration including classes, performances, forums for discussion and sharing, a reference room/library, art exhibit, 24-hour-a-day jam space, and more. Joining us will be: Andrew Harwood ( Canada), Dieter Heitkamp ( Germany), Martin Hughes ( Australia), Tica Lemos ( Brazil), Nita Little ( California), Nina Martin ( Texas), Steve Paxton (Vermont), Nancy Stark Smith ( Massachusetts), and Benno Voorham (Sweden/Netherlands). The BodyCartography Project - Working with the resonance of place, The BodyCartography Project creates dance performance, installation work, film/video and educational workshops in improvisational dance, Contact Improvisation, Body-Mind Centering, site-work and dance for the camera.
