Christian Kane is back on Angel. I am so excited!!! I don’t know what it is about this short white boy actor/country singer that makes me giggle, but he does. He was so hot on Angel last night even though he was all tattooed up. I think I will make a point to watch Angel every week instead of taping it and watching it after The West Wing.

I received an e-mail from R and she stated that I have changed so much since we were younger. This is very true, I have much more expensive taste, I am vocal and I am very focused - I believe that I can do anything and everything that I fully put my mind to...lucky for most I haven't concentrated hard enough on my kinetic abilities because some of ya'll would not be here if I did. But, back to the point - I am glad I have changed. I will say these changes wasn't overnight due to my arrival to college, like some I know, but it was extremely gradual.

When I got into Wellesley I knew I really needed to truly become focused. Becoming focused was the hardest change of all but it finally came. I know what I want and mostly what I need or need to have to get it. On the note of expensive taste yes this came about due to Wellesley. My parental unit has expensive taste but it was very limited because she didn't shop at stores (in my presence at least) like Neiman Marcus, Saks, Barneys and/or Bergdoff's. Getting to these stores was a little hike from the affluencey of the black P.G. County life (I won't get into that today). If you want high-end travel 30 to 40 minutes to white neighborhoods like McLean, VA and Chevy Chase, D.C. But, being in Wellesley, right near some of these stores and meeting the likes of folks on their 18 birthday inheriting more money than I might see in my lifetime introduced me to things like La Perla, Ferragomo, Prada, Tod's, Hermes and Tiffany's. This introduction peaked my interest...maybe when I buy these things it is my way of stating to folks that I am good enough or it is my way of letting myself be conditioned to think that the expensive brand name makes a better product than another brand name of lesser value - maybe not quality, but price. Who knows overall, but change for me has been good and for my best interest!

Finally my black ass got to sit down and listen to The Black Album and all I can say is it was SOOOOOOOOOO good!!! No, it was GRRREAT!!! I love Jay-Z and love this album - shit I love all of his albums.

I mean Iceberg was so honest on this album...when HOV talked about how he dumb down his lyrics for the general public to push more records and in turn when he dumb down the lyrics made it possible for him to one get filthy rich but two also give heavily to the poor ("I dumb down for my audience to double my dollars / they criticize me for it but they all yell holla / if skills sold, truth be told / I'd probably be, lyrically, Talib Kweli/ truthfully, I want to rhyme like Common Sense / but I did 5 mil, I ain't been rhyming like common since.") - I was like I can't believe he admitted it. I can't believe Jigga put that out there, but he did and I am proud of him, for it. The metaphors were flying in this record -- "My mind is like them (the rims that is)"...Hovito, your right your mind is always spinning, always thinking. IF, folks don't realize that your extremely gifted, then that is on them - because for someone to be able to flow like you off the top of your head is pure genius. You R the best rapper alive...Thank you S. Carter for always bringing the heat and teaching me something new. God Bless You!!!

As I sat in the doctor's office semi-listening to more babble about possibility this and possibility that, I realized that I should no longer have timelines for what I would love to do before I reach this age or that age, because reality has truly set in, that I might not make it to this or that particular age. Just to go through all the "things I want to do" and do the most feasible first and make my way through the list. So, that is the plan - let's see how many I can get through.
