Hello- Welcome to my Site.

Please settle in with your favorite beverage or snack and see if you find something that you just can’t live without.  My name is Carla Ball and I am a self taught artist and have been working with glass for about six years.

I started out by making gifts for my family. Now I sell my pieces at a local art gallery called The Upstairs Gallery. I started out making mosaics, I love taking broken pieces of glass or tile and making a work of art. Then moved on to both copper foil and lead methods. I also make the wood frames that I sometimes use with my stained glass pieces.

In December 2007 I had a local art drive to help raise money for The Damon and Stella Foundation for Mental Health. It is a Non-Profit organization created by people who lost loved ones to suicides. This is a National campaign to raise awareness for the subject of Depression and Mental Health. They want to remove the stigma and stereotype that is associated to these mental diseases. Please go to the bottom of this page and click on The Damon and Stella Foundation to read more of how they plan to do this and how you can join us in this endeavor.

We  donated 35 pieces of art that totalled over $8000. These will be auctioned off in the fall, along with works from others from across the nation. These are displayed on line and can be viewed at the Damon and Stella site.

I have now ventured out into other medias. I have tried my hand at watercolor and oil painting. I belong to a  local  art club named the Kentucky Creative Arts Club. They organize local art events through out the year.

I can not accept credit cards, but will take checks and will hold the item until the check clears and I have a Paypal account. If you have any questions about the availability of the items you see here, please email me.

I can also custom make something for you. I love doing the depression plate pieces, they are a great way to display your favorite plate.

Beauty is said to be in the eye of the beholder, it is beautiful to me because it came from within me. If you don't appreciate the beauty in yourself, then no one else will be able to see it. So let your beauty shine in what ever form you wish. Art is a wonderful therapy and is a very big part of the Damon and Stella Foundation.

Don't say "I could never do that" or "I can't draw a straight line". Just try something, anything- you may be surprised. I was a very late bloomer because I told myself those things. Then I found HGTV and saw what other people , regular everyday people, were doing. So I said "why not". Once I did my first project I was hooked.  So give it a try, what do you have to lose? If it doesn't work, try something else until you find something you like. You may be surprised.

I like working with found objects and turning ugly or plain items into beautiful art objects. This has been a growing process for me, it gives me a great feeling of  pride and accomplishment to create a individual peice of art.

Thank you for visiting, I hope you enjoyed my work. Now that you know my passion, have you thought about what yours is? Remember we only go around once, we should enjoy the ride.

I enjoy learning new techniques and mixing different medias together. I painted on 3 layers of glass then stacked them for a 3-D look. Look for the seahorses in Carla's Pictures link at the bottom of the page. There are many other pictures there of the different things I make.

Please see the links below, they include a Before and After page where I renovated a bank repo house my self and my "family" aka Carla's Critters.  Please take a few minutes to sign my Guest Book so I can update you on future projects. Carla Ball
