Welcome to Courtney Hollow Farm.  Home to Jim and Sue Shotwell & family as well as Covenant Ponies.

We have lived on this farm for nearly 30 years, but it has been a part of Jim's family for over 100 years having been given to his family by a land grant from England. 

Our farm is nestled in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Madison County Virginia.  We are not quite 2 hours south of Washington, D.C. and a little more than an hour west of Fredericksburg. 

We currently stand Rosmel's Dressed In Scarlet(Rosmel's Cotillion (LOM) X Rosmel's Scarlet Lace);  Chestnut Welsh Section B; 13.1h.   "Dresden" is currently with us on lease from Loafer's Lodge Welsh Ponies in Maryland.  We are very grateful to John and Margaret Almond for allowing us to have Dresden here with us. 

On June 4th we had our first foal by Dresden.  Tiffany's Secret Lacy (anglo-arab)gave us a beautiful colt.  This fellow should mature a large pony and we are thrilled with him.
