I have lived in the Northwest all my life. I
have always had an attraction to watercolor since grade school. I put it on the back burner for a while but I realized life
seems a lot better when I am actively painting, taking painting workshops, and visiting galleries. I received
a degree At Portland State University
in 1976 concentrating in Printmaking. Summer of 2002 I was a guest Artist on Art Train during the Hillsboro stop. I taught for two years at Glencoe
High School evening classes in watercolor through PCC community Ed. My
painting process is full of color and light, fluidity and just letting the paint go.
This year has been very busy and exciting as WSO President. The next phase for 2009 will be to fulfill my duties as
Immediate Past President. I am looking forward to Workshops at the next two conventions with John Salminen in Sea-Side
and Robbie Laird in McMinnville. WSO is a great organization and accepted me as a member in 2003. There are two
annual shows; transparent watercolor and an aqua media show that permits the use of any water based supply and limited
collage. I am still posting updates to the website for Oregon Society of Artists.
