Hi, I'm Xena.  I'm a Halloween girl because I was born on October 31, 1999 at Nosowea Cockers. I was adopted the day after Christmas in 1999.  When I got to my  new home there was already another Cocker Spaniel there named Bubba and he had about a million toys. He was 4 months old and I was 8 weeks old.  The first thing I did was eat all of Bubba's food and then I went chasing after him growling and biting him as hard as I could.  I had to show him that I wasn't afraid of boys.  I had been bullying my big brothers from the time I could walk.  My family thought I was really mean and I heard them talking about taking me back but I was just too cute.   I was suppose to be named Sissy but when they saw how I acted they decided right then and there that I wasn't a Sissy and that, in fact, I was a Warrior Princess so they named me Xena.

One time I told Bubba I'd hit him if he told Mom I had chewed on the table!

I thought it was a giant rawhide toy!

I'm a big girl now and I'm spoiled rotten.  Every day my dad tells me I'm beautiful.

Things I like to do

We have a doggie doorbell at our house that I learned to ring when I have to go out.  It can be set to ring or bark.  Ours barks.  If my mom doesn't come right away I keep ringing it.  If I have to go really bad I lay down with the foot in between my front paws and keep one paw on it so it barks continuously.  My mom always laughs at me when I do that. You can order a doorbell from SmartHome.com.  It's called  "Pet Chime" if you want to do a search.   My parents just put it by the door and every time they took us out they would ring it themselves and say "outside".  Sometimes they would put my paw on it.  It wasn't very long at all before we started doing it all by ourselves. 

I love to howl.  When Bubba and I are playing and he is getting the better of me I stop playing and howl.  This gets him to leave me alone.  Bubba can only howl if I do it first and he sounds really funny.  Sometimes when we're left alone we like to howl.  I think the neighbors think we are being abused.  We look pretty funny sitting with our heads tilted all the way back and our mouths in a circle. 

I love to sleep on mom's desk and about every half hour I have to go give her a kiss just to let her know I love her.  Bubba started copying me.  We have a really big bed in her office that we like to sleep on too.  Sometimes Nina comes and lays down with us and my mom laughs.  The other day Bubba, Precious, Nina and I were all sitting on mom's desk at the same time.
