The Bridgeview Fire Department has a commitment to fire
and safety education for both children and adults. The department has assembled
a committee of seventeen members that are committed to educating the public,
not only about the many dangers of fire, but also general safety awareness.
As you look around the Public Education page please check some of the links
we have provided. We have spent hours searching out some of the most informative
and educational spots. Some of our favorites include helpful consumer
advisories from the US Fire Administration and fire safety tips from
the Illinois State Fire Marshals
Office. If you are looking for something for the kids, We would recommend
going to the Illinois State
Fire Marshals Kids Page. We have also come across a few other point
of interest that are listed below. We will be updating this list as we
come across new and interesting spots, so don't think that just because
you were here once you've seen it all. If you have a place that you have
found please let us know. You can e-mail us at bvfdsafety@hotmail.com
As most of the students from our schools know we started teaching emergency first aid last year. The program we use is from the Save A Life Foundation. The program teaches emergency life saving first aid that all of us should know and the program can be adapted for adults.
