On these pages, I'll describe a bit about me, and I'll
describe some of the projects I've worked on over the
years. Some of the projects describe the research I did in
graduate school on making refactoring tools guide programmers to
improve the structure of a program. Some describe home
projects, such as the arched cover to keep rain out of our
courtyard. Most describe my model railroads.
I recently added information on how I scratchbuilt a
locomotive tender out of brass and lost-wax castings. I've
had poor luck in the past working with soldering and
metalwork, but I think I'm getting the hang of it.
One of the fun recent projects is a garden-sized board for the "Settlers of
Catan" game. This started as a crazy idea, but a hasty
promise to bring the game to Patti's 40th birthday
forced some fast work.
I'm creating these pages in the hope you'll learn
something, be inspired, or give me suggestions on improving
each.
