1966 Lamborghini 350GT
These pictures were taken at Concorso Italiano in Monterey, 1997 August 14. The car placed 4th on the entire field of Italian cars, including Ferraris, Maseratis, De Tomasos, etc. (no actual awards are given beyond 3rd). In the Lamborghini Club America concours it took First in Class, Best of Show and People's Choice.

At the awards dinner I was unable to express my thanks to the following
people, so I do it now:
The car is definitely an "interim" car built between the 350GT and the 400GT 2+2's. It has a steel body, unlike the 350GT and is a two-seater unlike the 400GT 2+2's. Cars configured in this manner are usually called 400GT's, and that is what I called mine, until a few years ago when a true 400GT came out West from New York. This car had the model "400GT" on its number plate, unlike mine which says "350GT". I had believed all along that other 400GT's would say "350GT" (all of the frame rails do have "350GT" stamped in them), so I was pretty surprised.
So, it all comes down to a script on the trunk which is about 12 inches long. This script us the only thing on the car which would visibly identify it as a 350GT or a 400GT. When I purchased the car this script was broken in such a way that the number was gone. So, I was left to make a decision, and I came down on the side of 350GT. When I have some more time, I'll present a table of attributes of the two models and indicate which one mine has.
