TusCon 35 News:

1. TusCon 35 is scheduled for November 7-9, 2008 at the InnSuites Hotel in Tucson, AZ.

2. The room block at the hotel closes on October 6, 2008. Be sure to reserve your rooms early. Also be sure to ask for the "TusCon Science Fiction Convention" room block (and use the whole phrase) so you will get the Con rates, at least have a chance that the reservations person will find the room block correctly and so the Con gets credit for the room nights.

3. Diana Gabaldon has accepted our offer to be our Guest of Honor this year!

4. Art Show rules and registration forms have been updated for TusCon 35.

5. Information on the Dealers Room has been updated, including the request form.

6. Here is a link to the latest TusCon 35 flyer.

7. In conjunction with the Pima County Public Library, TusCon 35 is again hosting the awards ceremony for the Short Story Writing contest. The awards for the top stories will be presented at our Meet the Guests Party on Firday night, Nov. 7th. Please see the link at the right for the contest rules and other info.

8. The list of program participants has been updated for this year (Tuscon 35).

9. The Preliminary Schedule is now available.

Rates: Memberships are $35 through 5/5, $40 through 9/1, then $45 after that and at the door.
One-days are $20/35/15 for Fri/Sat/Sun. Children (ages 3-12) are 1/2 current adult rates.
Also, we are now able to accept PayPal payments for membership registration:

Please note that memberships are not refundable, even if you are a no-show.
This does not apply to Dealer tables and Art Show space, though.

            Per night rates are $88 (studio room), $100 (2-room suite or kitchenette) & $109 for a Jacuzzi suite.
            Be sure to mention "TusCon Science Fiction Convention" to get these rates.
            Our room block expires on 10/06/2008, so reserve your room early!
             As a courtesy to our members, the hotel will extend convention rates for 3 nights
             before and/or after the actual convention dates.

Each room has a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker, plus each room
includes a full buffet breakfast in PJ's Cafe (in the Lobby area) !

The InnSuites has 4 handicapped-accessible rooms available.

The InnSuites does allow pets, but only with a $25 non-refundable deposit and
the room will be a smoking room.

           ** Due to I-10 construction, all exits into downtown will be closed between the Prince
        and 29th Street exits. All local traffic will be diverted onto the frontage roads at these exits.
          To get to the hotel, take the frontage roads to St. Mary's/Sixth St. and turn East. Turn right
          (South) at Granada and, at second turn-in, turn right into the hotel. **
