FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: Why have I had so many different jobs?
A: Perhaps it is because I just have never found my "niche".
Example: I truly enjoyed what I was doing at the Nevada Test Site, most of the time--I was appreciated for what I accomplished, I hardly ever did the same job 2 days in a row, and I found that I enjoyed the challenge of solving, and finding that I actually could solve problems as they arose.
But I never looked upon it as a "career" per se, just long-term employment to support my burgeoning family. I put up with a lot of the negative, that a "Leo" type personality, such as my father, probably would not have, quite simply because I really detest the job search process. I suppose that in the long run it limited my employment options, but at the time my paradigm wasn't long-term--rather, I was concerned with making ends meet from month to month, and often week to week.
Q: What is my greatest weakness?
A: My greatest weakness, despite the cliche, truly is my greatest strength as well--Perfectionism!
Example: Frequently I will postpone a project until I can gather enough information to get it just right. Sometimes, a fear that I can't get it done exactly perfect, inhibits me from ever tackling it at all.
But once I decide, for whatever reason, to take on a project, I "hyperfocus" on it (thanks to my adult ADHD), sometimes almost to the exclusion of all else, until I get it done.
