The
American Research Center
in Egypt (ARCE) is a private, not-for-profit organization which supports
research of all phases of Egyptian civilization and culture and promotes
and strengthens American-Egyptian cultural ties.
- ARCE
is recognized by the Egyptian government as the exclusive vehicle for
facilitating research by Americans and American institutions in Egypt.
- It
provides a permanent base in Cairo for American scholars conducting
research on Egypt.
- More
than a dozen archaeological teams are assisted annually by our Cairo
Center.
- ARCE
is also committed to the conservation of Egyptian monuments, through
its Egyptian Antiquities Project.
