Forrest Laffin was a naturalized American Citizen who divorced Mary4 Jane Meehan while in California about 1930 and remarried. Mary4 Jane never remarried. My mother and Aunt Mary were very close. Supposedly they had to be, being two girls amongst three brothers. We visited a lot as a family, with Aunt Mary, Doris and Marge being very kind to the writer. Aunt Mary worked as a Floor Supervisor at Cushman's Bakery and occasionly used to bring home delicious Raspberry Tarts, I suppose to please the young boy, named Robert6. He had many a fond memory with visiting this family. On one occasion, Aunt Mary looked out the window to see her young nephew walking towards the house in the throws of a policeman. She could only think, "what kind of trouble has that boy done now". It seemed that the patrolman was just being friendly with me and talking as I helped him walk his "beat". He had time to devote a conversation and helping hand. The things that you remember.
