The Ras Makonnen Local No. 5 is located on the island of St. Croix.  The island is full of historic sites.  This is Anna's Hope in Christiansted.

The Ras Makonnen Local No. 5 is located on the Caribbean island of St. Croix, east of Puerto Rico.  The Igneri (Ancient Ones), Taino, Arawak (Araucano) and Carib indians, called it Ay Ay.  Cristobal Colon located the island in 1493 and called it Santa Cruz--it was renamed St. Croix in 1653.  The island  has 197 historic sites, including 92 windmill towers, 22 large factory chimneys, 20 former sugar factories, and other historical areas.
