Instuctions for Nominating
- Go to the MEFA2005 site.
- Login using the information that was emailed to you
- Check the list of nominated stories to see if the story you want to nominate is already nominated.
- Click the Submit Story link
- If the author is not a MEFA member (in the Author drop down list), Click the link beside "Author not in the list?"
- *Nickname: type the author's penname
- *E-mail Address: type the author's e-mail address.
- Click Save
- Back to the Submit a Story page. Fill out the form, remembering that any field with * is mandatory. (Note: You may see *'s here and not on the site. We'll be fixing those. These instructions are accurate.):
- Story Type: Choose one from the drop down list. Use poetry for filk.
- Length: Choose one from a drop down. This is not mandatory unless you are the author.
- *Author: Choose one from a drop down.
- *Story Title: Type the title in the text field.
- *Story's URL: Type the URL (with http://) in the text field.
- *Story Summary: Type (or copy and paste) the summary into the text field.
- 1st Choice: Choose one from a drop down. This is not mandatory unless you are the author.
- 2nd Choice: Choose one from a drop down. This is not mandatory unless you are the author.
- 3rd Choice: Choose one from a drop down. This is not mandatory unless you are the author.
- *Suggested subcats: Type some suggestions in the text field.
- *Romance Partners: Type N/A if not necessary. If you don't know if it's necessary, see That Which Needs to Be Identified.
- *Rating: Choose one from a drop down.
- *Reason for Rating: Type reasons in the text field, ex. violence, language, sex, etc.
- Author Permission: Leave blank, unless you're the author. If you're the author, just type "Self-nominated". There is no stigma to nominating your own stories. Even the MEFA Admin does it.
- Click the Save & Proceed button.
