The Middle-Earth Fanfiction Awards 2005
The Middle-Earth Fanfiction Awards is an awards contest based on the model used at alt.startrek.creative. What's special about that model is that it is comment-based! It's about feedback! It generates feedback! And thus a friendly, participatory atmosphere.
But now it's time to get ready for the 2005 MEFAs! And some things have changed. But don't worry, the core of the program is still the same. This is and always will be a comment-based awards program. At the end of the 2004 MEFAs we had a Post-Mortem, a time to discuss and decide what worked, what didn't, and what we can improve. AND, there was an offer to build us an automated system for our nominations and votes. That, is the biggest, best change of all: The MEFA2005 site is up and running!
