Welcome to the Nine Worlds of Yggdrasil
A Visual Tour of the Nine Worlds
With Art Based on Norse Mythology
Fare the Nine Worlds through Yggdrasil: position your cursorover each of the worlds'
round icons to see their names; click an icon to travel to that world.

Navigate through Yggdrasil by selecting a World that hangs in the tree's branches or roots.

The names of the Worlds and the wights that typically inhabit them will appear as you pass your mouse over the Worlds' icons. When you enter a World, you can continue your journey through it by clicking the image on that page, or the round raven next button at the bottom of the page. If you go through the worlds'pictures in this way, the following image will pre-load, and will appear faster. Below most of the Nine Worlds' images, relevant texts appear, whether from the Eddas and Sagas, or one of my own rune poems.

Alternately, use the text links below to fare to the worlds, or the Java menu tree above the title.
