The first steps
Where do I begin? What should I do first? This link spells out for you my recommended way to begin working in our online classroom. The straightforward 123 list is designed to help take the mystery out of your start here and to help reduce any feelings of confusion or overwhelm that can be part and parcel of beginning a new online class. Be sure to post lots of questions in the Questions forum, too! (This is the first forum listed in the Discussions and Private Messages section of the navigation bar at the far left.)

Please take the time to read this document with care and to post to the Questions forum regarding anything you need clarification on. (In Week 2 you'll be asked to review more particulars about the course in the "The Darn Details" module. ;-)

Task list
The Tasks List contains all the tasks you need to complete and submit throughout the course. This "master" Tasks List shows your work for the whole course. Segments of the Tasks List are repeated in the module for each week for your convenience. (I recommend you print out the Tasks List in the module at the beginning of each week and cross out each task after you complete it.) You'll notice this list is also available directly from the left-hand navigation bar for easy and frequent access. Note, too, it opens in a separate browser window outside of the Etudes system, so you can safely leave this second window open without any worries.
